Intro to Ashtanga

This 60 minute Intro to Ashtanga class will introduce you to the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga method. This system of yoga comes from Mysore, India and was codified by Shri K Pattabhi Jois. It involves a set series of yoga postures that work to strengthen & stretch the entire body while cultivating an awareness of the breath. This introductory class will condense the 90 minute sequence to 60 minutes as well as build confidence & skill within the basic postures. Please bring a yoga mat if possible and wear comfortable athletic clothes.
