Francie began her Yoga journey many years ago as a supplement to her other physical activities that included triathlons and marathons. Her commitment to the practice of Yoga deepened after she and her husband settled in Lawrence ten years ago. Inspired by this vibrant Yoga community Francie obtained her 200-hour teacher training from Bhavani Maki in Hawaii in 2012 and more recently received her 500-hour teaching certification from Adi Amar and Angela Tong at Teton Yoga Shala in Wyoming. What inspires Francie the most is the potential for transforming one’s life through the practice of Yoga, using movement, asanas and controlled breathing to calm the mind, relieve stress and energize the body. The Yoga journey is both personal and communal, and Francie has found that once you become a Yoga teacher you share a journey with your students that forms a collaboration of highest mutual intentions. I look forward to combining the disciplines of Vinyasa flow and Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga to provide my students with a holistic practice experience.

In addition to practicing and teaching Yoga in the Lawrence and KC community, Francie enjoys traveling, painting and being with family and friends.
