Optimal health is the dream that PJ Adams holds for everyone. A self-described Wellness Facilitator, PJ is a Registered Dental Hygienist and a student of yoga and qi gong. She sees similarities between yoga and dental health “I believe in looking forward,” PJ says. “Yoga and dental hygiene look forward by providing people pathways to being healthier. When you’re healthier physically, its easier to become healthier spiritually.”

PJ has been practicing yoga for about 20 years and has been teaching since 2006. At EYC, she leads the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series. She enjoys practicing and leading Primary because it is a standardized series that allows modifications to the postures so that anyone can practice no matter what kind of day or what kind of life they’re having. PJ completed a 200-hour training program with Maya Yoga (Kansas City, MO) and The Institute for Interdisciplinary Yoga Studies to lead the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Primary Series. She is also certified to teach the Bikram Yoga series.

“I believe yoga is the path to self-realization,” PJ says. “If there is anything I can do to help people along that path, I believe it is my obligation to do so.”

PJ lives in Lawrence, KS, and is a Registered Dental Hygienist in Ottawa, KS.
