Dandiya is a folk dance that is a special feature of the Navratri festival. Dandiya is a dance form usually performed in a group by both men and women. The special features of the Dandiya dance is the colorful attire worn by the dancers and the colorful sticks carried by them. The wooden sticks are used as a prop and are beautifully decorated. It is for this reason that the dance is also called the "Stick Dance."
A basic introduction to the dance style will be provided at the beginning of the evening, followed by dancing, eating, and fun!
