Yoga Nidra means Yogic Sleep. It is a state of conscious Deep Sleep. Participants will be guided through specific thought patterns, emotions, sensations, and images while comfortably lying down in Shavasana. In Yoga Nidra you leave the waking state, go past the dream state and go to deep sleep yet remain awake. Here you are in an awakened state of consciousness. Yoga Nidra allows you to relax your mind (which is becoming increasingly challenging in this digital, overstimulated culture) and enter deep and undisturbed sleep. This is helpful for all and particularly those facing difficulty sleeping. Participants are requested finish all daily tasks before attending the workshop. A good option is to come in pajamas.
Geeta will also demonstrate how to make ghee (clarified butter) and yogurt, and everyone will have an opportunity to purchase jars of fresh-made ghee following.
